Recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies

What a day for chocolate chip cookie lovers everywhere, as DoubleTree by Hilton has revealed that it will share the recipe for its incredible cookies.

According to Shawn McAteer, senior vice president and global head of DoubleTree by Hilton, "We know this is a stressful time for everyone." "A warm chocolate chip cookie won't make everything better, but it can make you feel good for a while." Without a doubt, we concur.

What is the secret to making cookies soft?

Chocolate Chip Cookies Ingredients

½ pound of butter

¾ cup + 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

¾ cup packed light brown sugar

2 Big Eggs

1 ¼ teaspoons vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed

2 ¼ cups Flour

1/2 cup rolled oats

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon Salt

Pinch cinnamon

2 and a half cups Nestle Tollhouse semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 3/4 cups walnuts

How to Make DoubleTree's Famous Cookies

1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar for about 2 minutes on medium speed.

2. Blend in the eggs, vanilla, and lemon juice with a mixer on low for 30 seconds, then medium for about 2 minutes, or until light and fluffy, scraping down the bowl halfway through.

3. Mix in the flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon for about 45 seconds on low speed. Avoid overmixing.

4. Heat the oven to 300°F. Bake for 20–23 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the center remains soft.

5. Remove from the oven and cool for 1 hour on a baking sheet.

6. Remove the mixing bowl from the mixer and stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts.

7. Scoop dough (about 3 tablespoons) onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing it about 2 inches apart.

Note from the chef

The unbaked cookies can be frozen and do not need to be thawed. Preheat the oven to 300°F and place frozen cookies about 2 inches apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake until the edges are golden brown but the center remains soft.
